Successful Mission of the Province of Milan to Silicon Valley

The second mission from the Province of Milan to Silicon Valley was once again a success. The mission, which is part of the Digital Hub in the Great West project was headed by Luigi Vimercati, councilor for Economic Development, Innovation,
Employment, Agriculture and Tourism for the Province of Milan. Particular attention on this "learning journey" was given to topics of the environment, innovation, creativity and culture. Following is a sample of the itinerary

	Silicon Valley Italian Executive Council A cohesive group of Italian and Italian-American technology executives, meets together on an informal basis to network, socialize and stay current on issues relating to technology, the law, government and public policy
	San Francisco TechConnect TechConnect is a new City-wide initiative for universal, affordable, wireless broadband access. Google a potential provider
	San Francisco Environment City and County department with the mission to improve, enhance, and preserve the environment and to promote San Francisco's long-term environmental well being. Presentation of the "green building", "clean air vehicles", and "biodiesel" projects
	Cultural Initiatives Silicon Valley Overview of the programs and initiatives to improve the artistic knowledge and assist the creative community of Silicon Valley
	Bay Area Economic Forum Presentation of the programs of this public-private partnership of business, government, university, labor and community leaders to strengthen the region’s competitive economy and quality of life. Particular attention was given to the Bay Area Science and Innovation Consortium (BASIC)
